Terms of Use

These Terms cover the TIM app, the public site, Tim Pro subscriptions, Apple Health-enabled features, and Tim AI features that use Tim AI Cloud by default with optional on-device mode on supported iPhones.

Acceptance and scope

These Terms govern your use of TIM, the public marketing site, Tim Pro features, and TIM's supporting backend services. By downloading, accessing, or using TIM, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and use TIM only in compliance with applicable laws. If you are under the age at which you can agree to these Terms on your own in your jurisdiction, you may use TIM only with appropriate permission from a parent or guardian.

License to use TIM

Subject to these Terms, TIM grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app and site for your own internal personal use.

TIM is licensed, not sold, to you. Except for this limited license, TIM and its licensors keep all rights, title, and interest in the app, site, branding, software, and related materials.

What TIM provides

TIM provides an iPhone time-tracking experience with optional weekly insight, trend analysis, Apple Health integrations, widgets, and Tim Pro features such as Tim AI.

The service is still evolving. Features, pricing, device support, language support, region availability, and backend configuration may change over time.

Subscriptions and payments

Tim Pro subscriptions are sold through Apple and are governed by Apple's payment, renewal, cancellation, refund, and device/account usage rules in addition to these Terms.

TIM does not directly collect your card number. Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your App Store account.

If you downloaded TIM through the App Store, Apple may be treated as a third-party beneficiary of the portions of these Terms that relate to your app license.

Your content and feedback

You retain rights in the content and information you create in TIM, such as activity names, notes, and time records. You grant TIM only the limited rights reasonably needed to process, secure, and display that information for the operation of the service you request.

If you send feedback, suggestions, or ideas about TIM, TIM may use them without restriction or compensation to improve the product.

Acceptable use

Use TIM lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with the app, its backend services, security controls, or rate limits.

  • Do not abuse or automate Tim Pro requests for Tim AI in a way that bypasses usage controls.
  • Do not reverse engineer, probe, or replay protected backend routes.
  • Do not use TIM to request medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency help, or crisis guidance from Tim AI.
  • Do not upload or send unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or malicious content through TIM.

Health and Tim AI

Apple Health features and Tim AI features are optional. Tim AI Cloud is the default Tim AI mode for Tim Pro, and on-device Tim AI is an optional settings choice on supported iPhones. These features are intended to support reflection, pattern analysis, and productivity coaching, not diagnosis, treatment, emergency response, or other regulated professional advice.

Tim AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. You remain responsible for how you interpret or act on any output from TIM.

TIM may refuse, moderate, limit, or disable Tim AI requests that appear unsafe, abusive, regulated, or otherwise outside the intended use of the product.

Third-party services

TIM depends in part on third-party platforms and services, including Apple, App Store services, Apple Health, on-device Tim AI availability, Vercel-hosted infrastructure, and OpenAI for Tim AI Cloud. Those third-party services may change, fail, or impose their own rules and limits.

TIM is not responsible for third-party products, subscriptions, device compatibility, or decisions made by third-party platforms.

Availability and changes

TIM is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the extent allowed by law. TIM does not promise uninterrupted access, bug-free operation, or permanent availability of every feature.

Because device capabilities, Apple services, languages, regions, and backend configuration can vary, some features may be unavailable for your device, plan, language, or location.

TIM may update the app, change product features, change pricing, suspend abusive use, or stop offering parts of the service.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TIM disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any non-excludable guarantees or consumer protections that apply under Australian Consumer Law or similar mandatory laws.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TIM will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, use, or data arising out of or related to TIM.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TIM's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to TIM will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Tim Pro in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or AUD $100.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using TIM at any time. TIM may suspend or terminate access to the service, or specific features, if TIM reasonably believes your use violates these Terms, creates security or legal risk, or harms other users, the service, or third parties.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, will continue after termination.

Changes to these Terms

TIM may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your use of TIM, the updated Terms will be posted on this site with a revised effective date.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply and cannot be excluded.
